AboutThe Paris-American's mission is to unite talented emerging poets and established poets on the same stage, while also serving as a weekly e-zine for original poetry and literary criticism. Through the annual poetry reading series contest, new and emerging poets have the opportunity to read with a celebrity poet at Poets House, a 50,000-volume poetry library in New York City with a spectacular view of the Hudson River. TPA was founded by poet C. L. O'Dell in 2012. Since its launch, the e-zine has featured many award-winning authors such as Matthew Dickman, Chloe Honum, Laura Kasischke, Timothy O'Keefe, Carl Phillips, Jamaal May, Beth Bachmann, Ilya Kaminsky, Dorianne Laux, Matthew Zapruder, and Sophie Cabot Black. The most recent TPA reading series distinguished poet was Yusef Komunyakaa (Spring 2013). Contact How to contact The Paris-American reading series/online magazine: C. L.
